Temps are slowly dropping, leaves are beginning to fall, festivals are on the horizon...FALL is officially here! What a perfect time to pull away from the demands of a full schedule in order to spend time with your spouse and invest in your marriage. We encourage you and your spouse to take a look at this list and enjoy one (or all!) of our Fall Date Ideas!


1. Go to a pumpkin farm.

Many of our local pumpkin farms offer other fun fall activities like hayrides, petting zoos, corn mazes and more. These are are few of our favorites:

2. Carve pumpkins.  

Enjoy a cool fall evening at home and carve some pumpkins together! Work on one together or see who can be the most creative. Not only is this an affordable and fun date night, but also one that lends itself to good conversation and quality time.


3. Cuddle up together in front of a backyard campfire.

Grab some blankets and s’mores supplies and enjoy spending time together out in the crisp fall air. If you’re feeling extra ambitious, go ahead and pop up a tent and camp out the whole night!


4. Get lost in a corn maze.

North Georgia has quite a few corn mazes to choose from. Hold hands along the way and kiss at every dead end, you’re sure to have a fun evening together!


5. Go to a local high school football game.

Wear the school’s colors and cheer on the home team! Make it a double date and invite another couple along, too!


6. Go to a drive-in movie.

7. Go for a drive and see the fall leaves.

Grab your favorite fall coffee drinks, roll the windows down, and hit the road to enjoy conversation and scenic fall foliage.


8. Bake a fall treat together.

Get in the kitchen together and try your hand at a new fall recipe! Homemade pumpkin spice lattes, chocolate chip pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, candy apples... the fall treat options are endless!


9. Go for a coffee date and play games.

Fall flavored coffee drinks are here! Pack a deck of cards or another fun game and set up at your local coffee shop to enjoy the evening together.


10. Go on a hike.

11. Go to a fall festival together.

12. Go see a movie under the stars.

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a Movie Under the Stars on the Green in Braselton, GA. Concessions are available for purchase.


13. Go Horseback riding.

Lanier Islands provides horseback riding tours through scenic trails along the shores of Lake Lanier. Pack a picnic and enjoy a quiet and romantic afternoon together!


14. Do a progressive dinner.

Gainesville and Dahlonega both have great downtown squares with a variety of restaurants and shops that offer delicious appetizers, main courses, desserts and coffee.


15. Go see a play together.

Take a step up a notch from the movie theaters, purchase your tickets, and enjoy live acting right here in Gainesville. Gainesville Theater Alliance will be showing The Wizard of Oz in November.
